Curatorial Biography
Yoshihito Nakano, universally revered as Horiyoshi III, is the undisputed patriarch of classical Japanese tattooing. Apprenticed under the legendary Horiyoshi I, he spent decades mastering full-body suits (Horimono) depicting mythical dragons, koi, and folklore warriors. His studio in Yokohama is considered a holy pilgrimage site for tattoo connoisseurs worldwide.
